How to play Musicly
Musicly is a free guess-the-song game. You hear a tiny clip of a song — as short as a tenth of a second — and try to name it. The shorter the clip when you get it right, the more points you score.
The basics
- Press Start game. A game has 5 or 10 songs, from the built-in Big Hits playlist (298 songs in 11 genres) or from your own playlists.
- Press play to hear the first 0.1 seconds. Type the song or the artist in the search box and pick your guess from the list.
- Not sure? Skip to hear a longer clip: 0.5, 1, 3 and finally 10 seconds. Every song starts at the same random point, so each skip reveals a little more.
- You have 6 guesses per song, and skipping doesn't use one. Give up shows the answer.

- Wrong guess: −1,000. Finding the song always earns at least 1,000.
- Right artist, wrong song is shown in yellow and counts as a wrong guess. If you never find the song, knowing the artist still earns 500.
Play your own playlists
Tap Playlists at the top of the home screen.
- Spotify: open exportify.net, log in with Spotify and press Export All (or export single playlists). Drop the file into Musicly.
- Apple Music: share a playlist, choose Copy Link and paste it into Musicly. Playlists of up to 300 songs work.
Your playlists are saved only in your browser — there's no account and nothing to sign up for.
Play with friends
Press Challenge a friend and send the link. Your friend hears exactly the same songs and clips, so your scores compare fairly, and Next friend game keeps you in step for as many games as you like. Playing your own playlists? Share my playlists makes a file your friend adds first.

- Pick genres, playlists or artists on the home screen for a themed quiz — or try a quiz by genre.
- On the results screen, tap a cover to hear the whole clip.
